ICC GENDER POLICY : PLACE FOR TRANSGENDERS IN CRICKET
This Policy is based on the principles set out in the IOC’s Transgender Guidelines. It reflects a broad medical, scientific and legal consensus as to the approach required to achieve equal opportunities for transgenders. Since the Policy is intended to operate globally, regulating the conditions for participation in international-level events, it is to be interpreted and applied not by reference to national or local laws, but rather as an independent and autonomous text, and in a manner that protects and advances the imperatives of the same. It establishes the conditions enabling Transgender players to compete in International Matches in the category of competition that is consistent with their gender identity.
